  • KCBS, in partnership with UCSF Health presents, As Prescribed, a weekly conversation with leading medical experts from UCSF Medical center and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. Welcoming a new child should be filled with joy and excitement, but there are times when those emotions are replaced by concern and despair. It's the reason Kathleen Chinelli, a Registered Nurse with UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, started an innovative program called "Hearts at Home," creating a community of families and medical staff going through similar struggles so they don't feel so alone in their challenge. KCBS Radio news anchor Bret Burkhart spoke with her about the program.
