Meet Pastor John Strader
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Pastor John Strader has a powerful story of faith and service. After giving his life to Christ at a young age, John followed a unique path that began in culinary arts, working as a chef for seven years before answering God’s call to ministry.
John pursued seminary training at Heritage Baptist Institute and later earned his degree in missions from Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock. His ministry experience spans from serving as a youth pastor at Creekmont Baptist Church to spending five transformative years as a missionary in East Kenya, where he and his wife planted churches along the coast.
Now serving as the Senior Pastor at Horizon, John’s mission is to help people grow spiritually and live authentically in their faith. Married to Amber since 2011, they are proud parents of three children and are deeply committed to God’s work locally and globally.
