    In this reflective episode of the It's On You Podcast, we are joined by Connie Valencia, PhD, MPH, CHES, a pioneering force in public health and a beacon of community engagement from Boyle Heights. Connie shares her compelling journey from a first-generation Latina college graduate to an influential public health advocate. We'll also delve into her artistic ventures, alongside Lorena Ortega particularly their involvement in the poignant production of En Mi Jardín (In My Garden), a theatrical exploration of healing and ancestral conversations which featured 10 plays, including three in Spanish with English subtitles. The production, now concluded, served as a powerful medium for community healing, reflecting on the past to mend old wounds and celebrate joyous moments through the transformative power of theater.
