His story is one of resilience and a stark reminder of how quickly LIFE can take off without your permission. Richard's story was so horrific that it resulted in The Richard Miles Act, which passed in 2021, and requires law enforcement to turn over all evidence and information in a case, including evidence that might clear a person charged with a crime.
