  • ANOTHER Top Federal Prosecutor Resigns Rather Than Do the Dirty Work of Trump's DOJ
    Feb 21 2025

The corruption at the DOJ continues. Donald Trump's acting US Attorney for DC, Ed "Stop The Steal" Martin, directed the Chief of the Criminal Division, 24-year federal prosecutor Denise Cheung, to do something for which there was inadequate evidence. Ms. Cheung refused, choosing to remain loyal to the rule of law and the Constitution. So Martin demanded her resignation. Glenn discusses this development and the continued exodus from the Department of Justice of honest, ethical, and dedicated public servants.

  • Judge Wants ANSWERS From Trump's DOJ About Efforts To Dismiss Mayor Adams Case
    Feb 20 2025

Judge Dale Ho has had a hearing on the efforts of Trump's DOJ officials to dismiss the public corruption prosecution of New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The Judge has to decide if this proposed dismissal is "in the public interest". It clearly is not. Glenn reviews the order issued by Judge Dale Ho.

  • NY US Attorney Stands Up to Trump's DOJ, Resigns Rather Than Dismissing Case for Political Reasons
    Feb 19 2025
The resistance and opposition from within Donald Trump's Department of Justice is building. Rather than comply with an unethical directive from DOJ leadership, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Danielle Sassoon, resigned. Emil Bove, a member of Trump's team at the DOJ, directed the acting US Attorney in Manhattan, Danielle Sassoon, to dismiss the case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, not based on the evidence but because they wanted Adams to help the Trump administration with some of it's goals and priorities. But rather than agree to dismiss the case for political reasons, US Attorney Sassoon chose to resigned. Trump's DOJ officials then tried to move supervision of the Adams case down to Washington D.C., and following that - the top two supervisors in the DOJ's Public Integrity Section resigned as well. In a staggering display of retaliation, Bove, one of Trump's former criminal defense attorneys now a top DOJ official, told Ms. Sassoon that both she and the prosecutors who worked on the Adams case would be investigated by the DOJ. Just days earlier, when he was first directing Sassoon to dismiss the case, "Mr. Bove in his order to drop the case said that the directive 'in no way calls into question the integrity and efforts' of the prosecutors working on the case, nor Ms. Sassoon’s efforts in leading them".If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support Glenn and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/glennkirschn...TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/glennkirschner2See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

  • Inspectors General SUE the Trump Administration Over Unlawful Firings!
    Feb 18 2025
Inspectors general are the peoples' watchdogs inside government, guarding against fraud, waste, abuse, and corruption by administration employees and officials. In a very real sense, IGs are our cops on the inside. Just days after being sworn in, Donald Trump fired a whole slew of IGs in violation of federal law. Now, some of the wrongfully terminated IGs are fighting back. As The Hill reported, "Eight Fired Government Watchdogs Sue Trump Administration." The federal law requires a president to give Congress 30 days advance notice before firing an inspector general. Trump gave Congress NO NOTICE, violating federal law. The law also requires a president to provide "substantive rationale, including detailed and case-specific reasons" for the termination. Trump failed to do so, in violation of federal law.If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/glennkirschn...TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/glennkirschner2See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

  • Trump's DOJ To DISMISS Prosecution of NYC Mayor Eric Adams, But NOT For Lack of Evidence?
    Feb 17 2025
Donald Trump's Department of Justice seems to be leaving the honest practice of the law behind. DOJ leadership directed federal prosecutors at the Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney's Office to dismiss all criminal charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams. In a remarkable admission, a DOJ memo says they're not dismissing the case based on "assessing the strength of the evidence", but due to the "restricted ability (of Adams) to help the Trump administration". Glenn discusses the three main takeaways from this searingly unjust development. If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2X aka Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/glennkirschn...TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/glennkirschner2See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

  • Bringing Ben Home: A Wrongful Murder Conviction, A Judicial Exoneration but Continued Incarceration?
    Feb 14 2025

Author Barbara Bradley Hagerty has written a riveting and important new book about the wrongful murder conviction of a man named Ben Spencer. Ben's experience in the criminal justice system and his decades-long struggle for justice expose the desperate need for criminal justice reform.

In her book, "Brining Ben Home: A Murder, a Conviction, and the Fight to Redeem American Justice", Barbara tells Ben's story, shining the harsh light of truth on a system that often seems more intent on closing cases and winning convictions than complying with the legal and constitutional rights of defendants.

I had the privilege of providing a blurb for "Bringing Ben Home":

"As someone who spent three decades as a trial court prosecutor, I was horrified by the casual callousness that led to many of the wrongful convictions detailed in this important, beautiful, and infuriating work."

  • Federal Judge Rules Trump Administration is VIOLATING COURT ORDER!
    Feb 12 2025
A federal judge has ruled that the Trump administration is violating a restraining order the judge issued previously requiring the administration to lift the freeze on billions of dollars in federal grants.Attorneys General from 22 states brought suit against the Trump administration asking the court to order Trump to lift the freeze on federal funds that had been allocated to the states. Judge John J. McConnell, Jr., found in favor of the states, ruling that the "sweeping freeze of federal funds is . . . likely unconstitutional and has caused and continues to case irreparable harm to a vast portion of this country."However, the Trump administration failed to comply with the original court order. So the states filed a Motion for Enforcement of the Temporary Restraining Order. In granting the states' motion, Judge Jackson wrote:"It is a basic proposition that all orders and judgments of courts must be complied with promptly . . . Persons who make private determinations of the law and refuse to obey an order generally risk criminal contempt even if the order is ultimately ruled incorrect."However, the judge stopped short of holding the Trump administration in contempt, rather ordering them to comply.Trump seems determined to plunge our nation into a constitutional crisis. Glenn exposes what might happen next if Trump continues to defy lawful court orders.
