Kick Offs and Kick Ons

Auteur(s): SHTN Enterprises
  • Résumé

  • A rugby show like no other, where the only thing bigger than the names are the laughs and good times.

In an unfiltered chinwag with host and comedian, James 'The Professor Rochford, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Matt Giteau and Drew Mitchell share incredible stories from their global careers and offer their take on rugby's latest happenings. Every week we'll be diving into what’s been going on across ‘the game they play in heaven’ amongst other on and off-field fun.

Imagine catching up with your mates at the local drinking hole and debriefing on the weekend's antics…that is if your mates were some of the best rugby players of all time!

That’s the low-down. We love making it and hope you'll love tuning in.

  • The KOKO Show is Back and Six Nations Rugby is on the Menu!
    Feb 4 2025

Finally, Kick Offs and Kick Ons is back on the airwaves in 2025 and in the first episode of season two the lads do not disappoint in bringing the heat. After an off-season full of self reflection, realignment and rejuvenation the KOKO Crew are returning with a pep in their step, a new outlook on life and absolutely no sponsors to speak of. In 2025 we are bringing you double the debauchery each week with two separate episodes to ensure our fans get a complete feast of footy week in and week out. In episode one of season 2 we cut straight to the bone of all the Six Nations news after one week of the tournament, breaking down how the Irish outmuscled the English, the Scots dismantled the Italians and the French whacked the woeful Welsh. Plus, the boys give you their ‘Bold Predictions’ for 2025, illuminating their authentic thoughts and feelings in the world of rugby, as well as gambling on real life milestones. So sit back raise your hands to the skies and shout “fuck yes KOKO is back”, as we bring you the world of rugby like you have never heard it before, whilst giving you a chaser of inane banter to help it go down smoothly. It is time for Kick Offs and Kick Ons 2.0.

  • The KOKO Show’s Christmas Bonanza all the way from awesome Orange
    Dec 17 2024

This week on The KOKO Show we come to your eyes and ears by way of the Central Tablelands in NSW as the fellas finish off our inaugural season of KOKO in Orange. Despite the boys being of weary body and mind, they bound their Northern Hemisphere inflicted wounds, popped a couple Nurofen plus and got back on this bucking bronco of a show to finish the year off in grassroots style. When we started this show, all we wanted to do is help the average Aussie footy fan fall back in love with rugby again, whilst giving back to the OG footy fans in our rural and regional communities. Oh Boy! Let us bloody tell you rugby union is alive and well if northwest NSW is anything to go by and we can’t thank The Saltbush Hotel, Orange and the surrounding areas enough for their support of the show in our final episode of season one.

In this week’s episode we put a pretty little Chrissy bow on what was a whirlwind debut season for Kick Offs and Kick Ons, discussing the year that was 2024 in both the contexts of our show as well as the World Rugby landscape as a whole. The lads breakdown their highs and lows of the year, who and what caught their eye on the field and what 2025 has in store for all of us. We would like to give a big thank you to our headline sponsor MYER for all of their support this year and allowing us to create a show that accurately conveys the light and shade of Australian Rugby. Plus, we would also like to show some love to all of our sponsors throughout 2024 for being vital cogs in the wheel of success that was KOKO 1.0. In a year that has seen us laugh, cry, sit on milk crates and then travel to all corners of the globe, it is you our fans that deserve the final thanks. Without your support week in and week out, we wouldn't be able to put this poor excuse of a podcast together and for that we are eternally grateful. So, for the final time in 2024 lather yourself in baby oil, put on your comfiest lounging around g-banger and let the buttery tones of KOKO take you on a journey. It is time for Kick Offs and Kick Ons.
