  • 161. Playful Preschool Learning: How to Set Your Child Up for Success: Interview with Maria Golden from Growing in Literacy
    Nov 14 2024

☀️ Join my email community here!

Today's interview is with Maria Golden from Growing in Literacy (@growinginliteracy on Instagram)

Maria is an educator, reading specialist, and mother of three young children.

After years of teaching young readers and writers, she noticed a strong need for developing early literacy skills during the early childhood years.

While shuffling between diaper changes, naps, and play dates, she built a small business called Growing in Literacy, where she educates and empowers parents of young children in the development of early reading and writing skills.

Instead of using traditional worksheets and flashcards, Maria focuses on learning these skills through a play-based learning approach while also educating parents about the importance of early literacy skills.

Listen in on my conversation with Maria as she shares:

💜 Her journey in education and how she found her passion for early literacy skills

💙 Why play-based learning is the most effective way to teach little ones the foundational skills they need for success

🧡 How she supports parents who want to teach their children through play-based methods
