  • Episode 9 w/Laurence Watchorn | On Being An Artist: Life & Creative Practise
    Jun 4 2023

This was an incredible weekend spent with a dear friend of mine, Laurence Watchorn. These three hours were merely a snippet of a weekend of deep and reflective conversation.

Laurence is an artist in a multiplicity of mediums who graduated from the Slade in 2022. I went to secondary school with Laurence and we reconnected during my time my time in Leeds through music.

Since then we have forged a deep relationship through the experiences we have shared together.

This conversation explored Laurence's life as an artist and delved into his creative practise which has been crafted over years.

  • Episode 8 w/Martin Seeds | Northern Irish History, Empire & Life as a Photographer
    Apr 30 2023

For the 8th episode of the podcast, I welcome Martin Seeds. Martin grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, during the troubles in the 1970s & 1980s. His photography is his artistic medium through which he expresses and questions. Now living in Brighton I bumped into him in our shared office space and got talking over his filter coffee. We arranged this conversation to delve deep into the history of Northern Ireland and his life as a photographer. I am thankful for Martin for coming on to speak - I hope those listening enjoy.

  • Episode 6 w/Connor McNally | Learning to Adapt through Facilitating Spaces with Children
    Feb 26 2023

I met Connor two years ago when I started working for the Outdoors Project. He has been a real professional role model for me in facilitating spaces with kids. Connor has just taken on the Outdoors Project Lewes franchise and so we talked about the February half term holiday clubs, we have both just completed, as well as his varying experiences working with children in the US, at Scouts & his Forest School Qualification. We talk about how working with kids help us learn to adapt - a value & practise which I regard highly.

  • Episode 5 w/Maxine Payne
    Jan 29 2023

Maxine is a teacher at my yoga studio, Ekah in Brighton. I joined the studio back in April last year. I have found the yoga & community at Ekah to be a very unique thing. Stevan, who runs the studio creates a real safe & open space, where care is taken to be personable and kind. The quality of the yoga is nothing like I had experienced up until this point. Maxine is one of the regular teachers and someone whose vibration I connected with early on.
