Katherine is appointed as Elizabeth's guardian. So many questions. It'll take time and patience and indeed perseverance.

  • Lost Sister - A Discarded Woman - Episode 2 - "We found Elizabeth!"
    Jun 25 2024

After months of searching, Katherine and their family are finally given Elizabeth's physical whereabouts.
Walter's "granddaughter" had moved the elderly couple across 4 states without word to Elizabeth's family but has now given Katherine a physical address. Their elder brother, Charles, lives relatively nearby and immediately sets out to see his younger sister. No one in their family had actually laid eyes on Elizabeth in over a year and a half. He tried to be optimistic but still braced for the worst.

  • Lost Sister - A Discarded Woman - Episode 1 - It started with a phone call: "Elizabeth is missing!"
    Jun 25 2024

This podcast is based on a true story of a woman searching for her sister. A traumatic event that (as of recording) remains ongoing.
Katherine has been trying to find her big sister Elizabeth for months with no trace. Elizabeth is a retired physician with dementia. Elizabeth's husband Walter (a stroke survivor) is also missing.
When Katherine discovers that no one in the family has heard from Elizabeth lately she contacted the manager of Elizabeth & Walters condo complex. The manager said they had moved in the last week or two - by their granddaughter.
The issue is - Elizabeth never had children and Walter had always maintained that his son (by a previous marriage) died at a young age.
Follow along to learn more about this extraordinary story.

  • Lost Sister - A Discarded Woman -- Podcast Trailer
    Jun 25 2024

    Podcast Trailer:
In early January 2022, Katherine made a call to her sister, Elizabeth.

The answer she received was surprising. A disconnected land line recording.

Katherine learned that Elizabeth, a retired physician with dementia and Elizabeth’s

husband Walter, a diabetic stroke patient, were moved from their home. No

forwarding, no notification, nothing. These 2 people are medically vulnerable,

and no one knows where they are. The only information Katherine could learn

was that their “granddaughter” had moved them. Which was quite a surprise.

You see, Elizabeth never had children and Walter had always professed that his

only child died as a very young man. What unfolds is a story of abuse, manipulation,

greed and exploitation. But most importantly – 2 sisters love, devotion, loyalty

and determination. Join us as we tell Katherine & Elizabeth’s story on our podcast –

“Lost Sister – a Discarded Woman”.
