Mary Steinhauser was killed in a BC Penitentiary hostage situation in 1975. In a Vancouver Dreadful first, we’re doing a two-part story to tell the tragic tale of this brave woman. In Part I we will look at the cast of characters and history before the hostage situation. This is the dreadful tale of “The Courageous and Tragic Death of Mary Steinhauser”.
