    This week’s episode features Wellington-based independent Folk Alt-Pop artist ZÖ. ZÖ has been making waves in New Zealand with her blend of broody, sparse, and at times ambient music. Back in October 2021, ZÖ released an EP titled Do You Mind? - produced by Wellington Indie Electronica Artist and Producer Neil MacLeod. Do You Mind? is an introspective conversation between ZÖ, her ego, and her internal monologue – an attempt to break free of the clutches of her negative mindset and rewrite the neural pathways associated with the way in which she treats herself.     Episode 4 features Instrumental, Post-Rock band, distance – the brainchild of Christchurch-based Sam Butler. An amalgamation of metal, progressive, and ambient influence, distance (non-caps intended) is not unlike if Brian Eno were to collaborate with New Zealand band Jakob to create ambient Djent music. Back in 2020, distance released two five track EPs, and in this episode, I will showcase a couple of tracks from each of these records.
