He is passionate about ensuring that limits are placed on AI for the public good, and has played a leading role in campaigning the UN to ban lethal autonomous weapons (aka killer robots).
Toby has held research positions at leading global institutions, and contributed to countless publications and academic journals. He is the author of a number of books on artificial intelligence: It's Alive!: Artificial Intelligence from the Logic Piano to Killer Robots" and "2062: The World that AI Made".
