  • Episode 7 will discuss the concept of “Latinidad” and Latinxs peculiar fit into America’s racial hierarchy. This discussion will also include “whiteness” and “anti-blackness” in Latin America; colorism; Indigenous contributions to Latinx culture; and the future of Latinx identity.  

    The featured guest for this episode is Dr. Mery F. Diaz, Associate Professor of Human Services at New York City College of Technology- (City University of New York) and faculty liaison for CREAR Futuros at City Tech. Dr. Diaz is an author and co-editor of Narrating Practice with Children and Adolescents  (Columbia U.
