Gracias for being here with me. Today’s episode is going tobe about being gay during adolescent years. Throughout my years as a gay person I have had people always ask me if I chose to be gay. I usually laugh and say why would anyone chose a life where they knew they would be treated differently by many. Hated and hurt by many. Why would I choose a life where I would struggle my whole entire life. Wouldn’t you think I would choose to bestraight? I have, when I was an adolescent, when I came out, prayed to God to make me straight so I wouldn’t go through the harshness, but I always knew I was fabulously gay.

One of the main reasons I started this podcast was to reachout to the younger generation of the rainbow community to provide some hope. Young children and young adults are being bullied for being different and are choosing to harm themselves. Now, with the state of the world I hope thisdoesn’t get worse. Young people are scared and they shouldn't be.

If you’re being bullied online please stay off line. It’snot worth your mental health to look at negative comments towards you. Remember these trolls are hiding behind acomputer.

When I was bullied I had a bully try to harass me but notuntil I stood up to him he left me alone in junior high. Now, not everyone is going to have that same bully or situation but I know for me I knew what I hadto do and it took all my strength to do it. Presently, every day of my life I see that bully and I stand proudly.

    Gracias for being here.

Episode 2 is going to be about life after coming out. This is my perspective and my own experiences. For everyone, it will be a different experience. Once you step out of the closet there is a whole new world out there.

There are many members of the rainbow community, all types of beautiful human beings. I know when I came out I had to figure out who I was as a gay person. We aren’t just a stereotypical gay person. There are bears, cubs, otters, twinks, muscle guys, leather guys, daddies, jocks, trans, drag queens and many more. If you’re a gay girl there are butch, femme, biker, stud, sporty lesbian, and many more.

You start to want to fit in again and it’s high school all over again. You are finding yourself searching for your tribe. This is where having a chosen family could be the best thing to ever happen to you.

  • No Skeletons in This Closet, Que Salga Todo Gay

For my first episode, I wanted to share my coming out story. While there are countless coming out stories from many individuals, many of whom share similarities, this one is mine. It may not be entirely unique, but it’s deeply personal.

Coming out is an overwhelming experience and can weigh heavily on many people. Some wrestle with the decision to come out, while others may not have a choice and find themselves being outed. I hope that my story resonates with you and provides insight or support, no matter where you are in your journey.
