With nearly 1700 people leaving Nepal daily, the impact of migration on Nepali society is profound. The recent tragic deaths in the Russia war, the 2.1 million Nepalis living overseas, and the significant role of remittances, which constitute 27% of the GDP—the highest in South Asia and the 5th highest in the world. Despite this, the experiences of female migrants and the cultural and literary dimensions of migration are often overlooked.
