  • Anthony Gordon's second goal of the season earned Newcastle United a 1-1 draw with Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.

    Gordon stepped up to send Ederson the wrong way from the spot just before the hour after being felled by the Brazilian goalkeeper, cancelling out Joško Gvardiol's first half opener at St. James' Park in an entertaining encounter. Gordon's leveller means Eddie Howe's side have now scored in their last 22 top flight outings at home - an impressive run stretching back to the 2022/23 season.
