On informed decision making, covid and children

  • Résumé

  • Parents face an important decision with the recent authorization of the 5-11 year old covid shots. It is the kind of decision that begs us to pause, look, and make a conscious choice from clarity. The consequences merit consideration of the whole picture, and my experience informs me that process matters, especially when it comes to undesirable outcomes. Risk is inherent in living, and this decision is about weighing the risks - like all our medical choices. While I remain wholly agnostic on your choice for your family, I strongly advocate for informed decision making and personal responsibility. I stand against shaming, bullying and coercion.
