On Thursday, a senior Liberal strategist went on CBC and told viewers she hopes the party “finds a legitimate reason to disqualify Dhalla” stating that she threatens Carney and would turn the debates into “a circus.” Lo and behold the next day, during a live CBC interview with host David Cochrane, Ruby Dhalla learned that she had been disqualified from the race. Candice is joined by law professor Bruce Pardy to discuss the mirage of democracy in Canada. They discuss the serious challenges with Canada’s political system, how anti-Americanism and President Trump’s rhetoric is helping the Liberal Party, and how our country is in serious trouble.
