The report of the public inquiry into foreign election meddling describes the involvement of outside countries in Canada’s electoral process as “marginal”. Commissioner Marie-Josée Hogue says she’s found no proof that any elections or federal legislation have been affected by foreign interference. Hogue says there is an existential threat to democracy: disinformation.
