Dr. Christine Duquette, LMFT, PsyD is a licensed psychotherapist with a clinical psychotherapy practice serving clients throughout California. She has a Master's in Marriage & Family therapy and a doctorate in Psychology. Dr. Duquette’s clinical practice focuses on general mental health issues, complex trauma, substance use disorders, and dual diagnoses utilizing talk therapy and trauma specific methods like EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and parts work. She specializes in trauma, c-PTSD, and working with helping and healthcare professionals understanding the need to help the helpers. Her recent research focus is on the impact of COVID on public mental health, mental health practitioners experience of compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma and burnout, and mental health access.
Dr. Duquette teaches and mentors future helping professionals in bachelors and master leveling counseling, clinical counseling, and nursing programs within the U.S. and Canada. She is a committed educator who is passionate about helping individuals build competency in education and work in order to contribute to their communities and enhance their lives.
