    Now studying at the University of Queensland, Joan has written more than 100 articles on women’s football for New Zealand’s leading soccer news site Friends of Football. At the 2023 Women’s World Cup, Joan was the world’s youngest FIFA-accredited international sports journalist. Joan has played for Franklin United and Papakura City and is a coach at SuperStars, and The 18 Yard Club.
