  • "I Ended Up Making Hundreds Of Phonecalls Across The World" David Brady On Keeping The GAA Conversation Going Through Tough Times
    Aug 15 2020
Former Mayo GAA and Ballina Stephenites footballer David Brady is part of AIB’s The Toughest Summer, a documentary which tells the story of Summer 2020 which saw an unprecedented halt to Gaelic Games. The series is made up of five webisodes as well as a full-length feature documentary to air on RTÉ One in late August. David Brady features in the second vid which nearly had us in tears!  David was asked by the son of a man living in Wicklow to give his Dad a call during lockdown - he was on a farm , things would have been lonely as he couldn't get to see his family. Originally from Mayo - he was a big fan of Davids and was always someone he admired . David made the call to Tom and he thought it was a skit! He recognised the voice and felt like he had known him all his life. Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that make the biggest difference .Thanks to everyone you answered my calls.I was the one privileged to be on the other end https://t.co/9mF6F0DuxM — David Brady (@D9BMayo) July 30, 2020 Pumped Up Kicks with Anna Geary and Dec Pierce every Saturday 2pm to 6pm Listen back to the full chat with David by clicking the play button below!
