  • On this episode, we're joined by representative Steve Eliason to talk about how he came to be in the legislature, the best thing about being a representative for the great state of Utah, and his work surrounding the latest three-year $2 million campaign that focuses on mental and behavioral health.

    We also talk about the high suicide rate within the Rocky Mountain region, the statistics behind suicide in Utah, and some of the measures that are in place to combat the alarming rates.

    Then we talk about Steve Young's book, "QB: My Life Behind the Spiral" and how empathizing better, educating ourselves, and opening a dialogue about mental health can help Utahns throughout the state.

    We also dive into how the next legislative session can help the campaign and the possibility of creating mental health centers that can supply additional resources to those struggling with mental and behavioral health.
