  • Take No Thought
    Sep 3 2024

A devotional study about the times that Jesus exhorted His disciples to take no thought to prepare for critical situations before councils and tribunals. Not only that, but we will look at how the promises given by Christ was manifested in the life of the deacon Stephen, and what it means for us today.

    Luke 12:11-12 KJV
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

  • The Spirit of Competition
    Aug 27 2024

A follow-up to our earlier devotional study about competition and how the Bible views it. We're going to look at a few more passages that contrast the mind of Christ (and the attitude of a Christian) with a worldly mindset. These verses from Peter and Paul are important for us to consider as we look at what it means to have the mind of Christ.

    Philippians 2:3 KJV
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

  • Growth Through Mentorship
    Aug 14 2024

A devotional study about how God uses mentorship and discipleship to help refine both the mentor/teacher and the mentee/student. God is so willing to save us, that He sometimes sends people who need our help, to be a source of help to us as well. God is quite content to show us our own weaknesses through the weaknesses of people we are called to assist.

    Titus 2:6 KJV
Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
