  • The issue of Christian responsibility to civil authority is the focus of this chapter. We no longer rule over our own lives, submitting to the desires of our flesh. Rather, we submit ourselves to God as living sacrifices. As believers we have a “dual citizenship:” one of earthly address and one of the heavenly kingdom. And we need to learn how we are to be right towards both, as those who now belong to the Holy God. We're called to be here, in and among those of this world, until Christ returns.
