Shae Bolton-Brown had an incredibly successful Netball career, culminating in representing Australia, and is now the general manager of Melbourne mavericks and SEN teams strategy - managing the portfolio of 5 professional sporting clubs. However as a child, Shae was bullied relentlessly through her primary and secondary years. These experiences led to repressed memories, and the paralysing pursuit of perfectionism in order to feel worthy. Now, those memories have all come back. In recent years, Shae has been working hard to heal her inner-child, and rediscover real joy. Listen to Shae's remarkable story of childhood pain, and the pathway to self-acceptance. And at the end of the episode, James and Nick share some tips and takeaways for those listeners who have suffered bullying themselves, or have a child going through bullying today.
