  • The story begins with a cosmic storm that shatters the Silken Nexus, a powerful artifact maintaining harmony between the twin realms of Aetheris and Umbraxis. The glowing fragments of the Nexus scatter across Nytherra, disrupting the delicate balance between light and shadow. The realms begin to drift apart, their connection reduced to unstable Thread Rifts—dimensional tears that unleash monstrous creatures known as Riftspawn.


    As the worlds descend into chaos, mistrust and conflict arise between the two civilizations, with each blaming the other for the catastrophe. The narration sets the stage, describing the fractured state of Nytherra and the desperate need to restore the Nexus.
