    This week, in Clifton, Arizona, forgotten text messages solve the case, when a man is killed in what seems like an incident of road rage, until they discover that 14 shots were fired at the victim, leading detectives to believe that it's very personal. There are several suspects, including his fiance, who acted suspiciously & his ex-wife, who he was battling for child custody. Then there's whoever has been stalking, and taking pictures of him. It turns out to be more diabolical than anyone could have thought!!


    Along the way, we find out that sometimes a whole town goes to a comedy show, that nobody fires 14 shots at someone for driving poorly, and that somehow, people STILL don't know that homicide detectives can check your text messages!!

    This week, in Hudson, Ohio, when a woman comes to police with a story about having a dead man, buried in her yard, it leads to the unraveling of an insane tale, complete with burglaries, fires, lies, and the most cold blooded murder possible. The story involves a pair of friends, who end up at odds, and group of people, who may have helped pull this murder off, without even knowing! Will everybody get what's coming to them??


    Along the way, we find out that a "Sausage Fest" can actually be very delicious, that Beaver Cleaver should never hang out with Eddie Haskell, and that you can manipulate your friends, but it's much harder to manipulate the court system!!

It seems like there are plenty of people who wanted this person dead, including the man's own father. But when a tip is called in to detectives, the terrible plot becomes clear. It turns out to the a cold, calculated plot that involves a conspiracy, with 4 people in on the murder plans!!


    Along the way, we find out that the potential for tornados in this town are way scarier than any murder, that when you're kicking people out of their homes, some of them may have murder to kill you, and that no matter how many people want to kill you, you need to be the most careful about those closest to you!!

Trust the process

There are many true crime and comedy shows out there now (ex. “my favourite murder”) but contrary to many others James and Jimmie devote significant time to the story and the victims rather than a 15 minute overview and then talking only of themselves. The comedy portion comes from the weirdness of small towns, idiotic murderers and inept systems.

This is one of the few weekly podcasts I never miss! James and Jimmie are great finding a good balance between respect and humour while always having hilarious tangents (RIP Italian Grandma and I just realized Jimmie hasn’t had an Andrew Jackson moment in a while…).

Always Great!

These guys together make me laugh so much. The topic can be grim but they're respectful guys, and they tell the story in a respectful way, whilst making jokes at the expense of the small towns, cops, and usually stupid killers.
