  • Bonus - The American Citizen Test
    Dec 2 2024

Welcome back to The Ace Ford Podcast! Thank you for joining us tonight for this bonus episode. In light of everything that has been going on politically lately, I was given the opportunity to take a mock version of the multiple-choice section of the civic questionnaire for naturalization. I wanted to see what challenges there is for someone seeking to become an American citizen and I wanted to see how well I would do on the test as an American born citizen. Listen in to see how I did.

  • 24. Justen Willis, Should We Let Ourselves Fizzle Out?
    Nov 1 2024

Welcome back to The Ace Ford Podcast! Tonight, my buddy Justen joins us again for a chat. Essentially, tonight's episode was just much needed BroTherapy with no real aim or direction. The unintended conversation tends to be the best conversation.

Some of the topics we talk about may be unpopular or conspiracy, or maybe some of the topics are things you enjoy listening too and find interesting. The goal for me was to explore mentally the things that my friend Justen finds interesting and exciting.

Should we just let the human species fizzle out? Or should we try to become a multi-planetary species? Either way, we agree that we should start abandoning colonial energy.

Thank you for joining this conversation. Thank you for supporting my art.

  • 23. Maurice Evans, You're No Different Than a Famous Person.
    Oct 15 2024

Welcome back to The Ace Ford Podcast! Tonight's guest is a long-time childhood friend of mine.

If I'm being honest, when I look back at my time in middle school, I don't always have the fondest memories. As a child there were many times that I felt disconnected and mentally removed from what was happening all around me and being one of only a few white kids in school that feeling was amplified within me when it came to the social circles and settings of my peers.

That was until I met Maurice. Around the 6th and 7th grade, after Maurice moved to our town from Oklahoma, he became a little shimmer of friendship and acceptance in my life at the time. Our school time adventures writing poetry and raps and playing basketball became the few moments of happiness in that era of school for me. Maurice has always been a kind and patient friend.

On tonight's episode Maurice and I reminisce on our middle school days and share with each other about where our journey has taken us. Maurice also takes the time to break down the process and challenges of starting a clothing line.

Thank you for joining us and being a part of the conversation.

As always thank you for supporting my art.

  • 22. Nate Sanders, Our Mother's Delinquents.
    Oct 1 2024

Welcome back to The Ace Ford Podcast! Tonight's episode is a very special and vulnerable recording for me. My guest tonight is my little brother Nate. I am my mother's oldest son and Nate is my mother's youngest son. I had a lot of deep reflections throughout the process of creating this episode. Through recording it, editing it, and even in writing this now.

One deep reflection that I had was when I realized that there is only a 14-year age difference between my brother and me. Nate described to me how from his perspective as a kid, he thought that I was on top of my responsibilities with a deep priority and essentially to him I was always a man. I made the connection to the fact that my mother is only 15-years older than me and how I too, as a child, saw my mother in the same light despite her actually being a child herself at the time.

I have always had a great relationship with my little brother Nate. As I highlight in tonight's episode, I still remember the day I found out my mom was pregnant with Nate. I have so many memories from when we were both younger.

I remember times like when I got released from a court ordered program and pulling up to my parents' house and as I walked up the driveway little Nate came running out of the front door in nothing but his diaper and a white tank top. He came running up and jumped into my arms. There were also the times when he was four or five years old and would sneak out of our mom's room in the middle of the night and climb up next to me on the couch, where we would eat chip and dip and watch tv until our mom realized he was gone and yelled for him to come back to bed.

Nate will always be my baby brother, and I will always see and believe the good in him. I will always love him and I'm thankful to him that he took the time to sit down and catch up with me. And I'm thankful that you have all joined us.

As always, thank you for supporting my art.

  • 21. Marion Harrison, Set Your Intentions.
    Sep 27 2024

Welcome back to The Ace Ford Podcast! This is the final piece to the month's conversation project. I find it to be a very beautiful and productive thing having different friends come together in the spirit of vulnerability to share and help. My loved ones and I have gained a great deal from the conversations that were had this month.

Tonight's guest is my childhood friend Marion. Marion joins me for the final lap to this over all conversation about 'Morning Routine'. There's no better way to kick off your morning than to take the time to set your intentions for the day, as well as your overall life. What kind of day do you want to have? What kind of life do you want to live?

Thank you for joining us for this final discussion about our morning routine.
