Ruben and Taylor Gomez are Episode 6 guests. Ruben came to the US as an International student and met Taylor in College. Their entrance into Real Estate was strategic as they decided to house hack with a triplex in 2013. Ruben was then faced with an ultimatum when his baseball career suddenly ended. Clint left his corporate job in 2016 to pursue his passion for Real Estate Investing and has done tremendously well for himself to date. Marie, after working  in a marketing job for a year, realized that entrepreneurship was the path she wanted to take and opened a retail business also doing very well for herself. Her interest in Real Estate led her to get her Realtor's license which ultimately led to her beginning her Investment journey. They both admit that they're not where they want to be yet still content with what they have currently. A testament to their humility that has undoubtedly contributed to their success as entrepreneurs.

In this episode, our hosts Mike and Jeri Schlickbernd sit with each other and speak about Mike's entry into Real Estate Investing and his journey to becoming the Dreamvestor he is today. Mike shares how he got started working in maintenance for a property management company to then becoming a property manager himself and graduating to where he is today. Mike's story dismisses the notion of needing huge capital to begin your investment journey.

He also shares his philosophy of "anything is fixable" as a means of buckling down and grinding through the difficult times no matter how impossible it may seem. Jeri questions her husband about how they overcome issues together and though their end goals/ big dreams differ, they still align and complement one another.
