Welcome to The Entrepreneur Within Podcast, a weekly audio show dedicated to the innovation community, with Mark Roberts.
It is for innovators working within organisations, for start-up founders, and for owners of established businesses seeking to shake things up.
Every week, you’ll hear real stories from some of the world’s most interesting innovators on how they have forged innovation-led growth and what’s going on in the world of innovation.
In this episode, I spoke to Hester van Lint. A wonderful human, a friend for a good decade, and I think the perfect interviewee for this podcast. Why? Well, as part of my role as an intrapreneur within AB InBev, Hester was my COO. As someone who had worked in the company for over a decade, it was her job to help our team navigate the systems, processes and vagrancies of a huge multinational. Keeping the big business on side give me the freedom to operate more freely and without restrictions. It’s a formula: ‘founder + COO’ that I think can work well to stop the large business from accidentally squashing the small start-up within its ranks.
This interview is full of brilliant tips to navigate one of the hardest roles in any business. Listen in.
