Today’s story is called The Eyes Have It, and the author is Phillip K. Dick. It was written in 1953. While he’s known for science fiction stories, this one has tinges of that but is really just poking fun at the English language. I particularly identified with this one as I tend to respond to language in this way sometimes too. It’s not enough to know what the writer was trying to say, for me. If they write something that I can perceive a different way, I will find it, point it out, and usually be told, “Oh you’re being too literal, you know what they meant.” Whatever... that’s how my brain works. Please enjoy and let me know if your brain works this way too, we need to stick together.
