Annamh - the Irish word for rare, as I appreciate a podcast episode is a rare thing from me these days - so rare in fact that I missed out on my decade anniversary. This podcast is in fact 11 years old this month!

Could it really have been named anything else? Subsequently I finally found some time to do another episode - its been, a very long time. So much has happened.

I hope the attached sounds find you well and avoiding any evil organisms trying to make a home in you. What a weird time on Earth hey!?

As a weapon of mass distraction I have created this mix to while away some hours with. Lots of classic reworks, all smashed in with some new beasts.

I have got massively in to Techy uplifting sounds of late so be prepared for some dark driving beats with a crescendo of Hard Trance. It is of course still the usual journey but there is a distinct edge of raving in a filthy warehouse somewhere in East London to the sounds of Techno. Something I and I am sure many others are craving.

So, join me in saying 'FUCK OFF CORONAVIRUS' - Hopefully see you guys on the other side of this temporary apocalypse. Now, back to reorganising my sock drawer, whilst bangin' out the tunes....

Are you ready for a descent in to utter chaos? Well, here is the soundtrack to take you there in the form of my 137th episode. It isn't all disorder mind you; within you will find symmetry within the disarray and order within the disorder.

I have found some absolute belters which cross the whole spectrum of my usual trancey journeys. I have made an effort to make sure there are plenty of classic tunes alongside some real up to date bangers in this episode. It is FINALLY here - episode 135!

Do you ever get tingles and chills when listening to Trance, or any music? I do, seriously; goosebumps galore.

Music is in fact able to trigger physiological responses in some people - usually this is a pleasurable phenomena and can vary in intensity. No two people will likely feel these shivers in exactly the same way so and no two tracks will give the exact same response, in essence music creates a unique experience for all of us, track by track, tingles or no tingles.

If you experience these chills - there is some science to suggest that your brain is wired up a bit differently and you may percieve the world in an alternative way to many people... One study by a Harvard student found that "people who get a shiver up their spine have more fibers connecting their auditory cortex to brain areas associated with emotional processing. This lets the two areas communicate better and means that people who get the chills experience intense emotions differently from those who don’t".

The reason behind this - as per with neuroscience isn't really understood, interestingly in addition, there doesn't seem to be any evolutionary need for it. Something just wonderfully weird and that personally helps shape my own subjective experience with music... Here's hoping you get those tingles listening to this mix!

It was a recording sesh that took me back to my roots and to a proper set of decks and mixer at last. A 2 hr and 23 minute marathon mix - I didn't want to stop, even though I had sore feet and the fact I was invading some good friend's house to record it! I was very much enjoying the sorely missed FX unit that has been lacking for so long.

Welcome to Ra - namesake of the Egyptian Sun God as well, as it happens - one of my all time favourite tracks which I have finally got hold of via the legend that is Louk... to be discovered for you maybe, but I first heard it on Euphoria Pure from the year 2000 and fell in love with it - its no speaker jumper by todays standards but I adore it.
