His dangerous views on omitting or filtering the reports through "God's word" can lead to the omission of reporting on dangerous individuals the public has a right to be aware of.

Gothard claims that truth out of balance leads to error and that detrimental information about people shouldn’t be made public until it’s thoroughly vetted. He believes that public news media should never violate God’s moral standards—but at what cost? This mindset is what has lead to a white-washing of history and control over what gets reported.

We also explore Gothard's take on objectivity in news reporting and history writing, where he rejects the idea that anyone can be truly objective. He argues that all reporters are inevitably influenced by their own biases and philosophies and that facts should always emphasize God’s truths rather than neutral, unbiased information.
