Lulu Brown is falling apart. Freshly divorced, with three kids who devour her, she feels like she is rapidly hurtling into invisibility. She gets a call from an old school mate - with an intriguing proposition.

Lou dives headlong into a new experience, accompanied by her three best mates. There will be shoulder pads, sequins and Olivia Newton John legwarmers – and there will not be a single bit of judgement from a grotty teenager or husband. But there will be the spectre of an ex-boyfriend looming.
