  • This episode features the Speech to the Joint Session of the two houses of the State Legislature, inaugurating the reformed Constitution of 1940 delivered on June 9th , 1941. The introduction by Maya Chandra highlights the historical background to the formation of the representative Assembly by HH Chamarajendra Wadiyar which paved the way for democratic governance and formation of the Legislative Assembly. This Speech is read by Shri Rajachandra Urs, the son-in-law of the Maharaja.
