  • Major Discovery (MM #5083)
    Feb 20 2025
Usually, when archaeologists make a major discovery, they find some new dinosaur fossils. However, researchers found something in Egypt that they've been searching for for over a century. It's the tomb of King Thutmose II. It's the first significant tomb discovery since 1922 when they found the tomb of King Tut. The fascinating thing about this discovery is that they located his mummified body in 1881. While they'd been looking for his resting place for over a hundred years, they thought they were about to find the tomb of the wife of another ancient king. Researchers were shocked... • Wake Up (MM #5082)
    Feb 19 2025
Have you ever wondered why your parents went to bed early and woke up early? I've been a night owl most of my life, but that's changing. Now, I go to bed and wake up earlier than I used to. In recent years, I have no longer been able to escape the early-to-bed, early-to-rise lifestyle. There's a good explanation for these life changes: it's light. The light rules our bodies. But as we get older and our eyesight changes, we're affected by the light even more, and that affects our sleep. There are ways to fight it, but for many, it is a battle where the best you can do is win some and lose some... • Nicest Compliment (MM #5081)
    Feb 18 2025
Everyone loves to be complimented. Sure, some may be uncomfortable for a moment, but having someone say something nice about you is a wonderful feeling. For many, some recognition is more meaningful than other thoughts. One platitude I hear every now and then is that I have a voice that should be on the radio. Even though I don't hear what others do, it's the nicest compliment I can receive. Even though I've been out of the radio game for close to 20 years, I still have people say it to me. And while it meant a lot while I was in the business, today, it means even more... • How Do You Say (MM #5080)
    Feb 17 2025
There's a meme that I see every so often across social media. The meme always starts with the phrase, "how do you say." Let me give you an example: How do you say you're old without saying you're old? That phrase was running through my mind last night as I watched the SNL 50th anniversary special. I watched the first episode back in 1975, and I don't think I've missed many through the years. When I was younger, I arranged my social calendar around who the host and musical guests were. And now that my calendar is much quieter, I never miss a new one. The show's not made for me now, or perhaps it is... • Smiles (MM #5079)
    Feb 16 2025
We visited Indiana to see some of our nieces and nephews for Valentine's Day. It's always a good time, and we never get to spend as much time as we'd like. But one of the greatest feelings is walking into the room and seeing them for the first time in a while. The smile that comes over their face is genuine. But, ask them to smile, and many have a hard time. Many of us have difficulty with what should be a simple act. Some find smiling easy, while others struggle. When I was younger, I often struggled to smile. Is it too wide? How much of my teeth should I show? Think about it. Just don't overthink things... • Bink (MM #5078)
    Feb 15 2025
Over the last few years, water bottles and tumblers have become fashion accessories. First, Yeti was the brand you needed. Then Stanley and Owala were the ones that all the trendy used. I never got past Yeti. I have numerous Yeti tumblers and water bottles. When I find a brand That works for me, I stick with it. But many people like to follow the trends. In the last couple of years, Stanley and Owala became the water bottles that everyone wanted. But if you follow the trends, it looks like a new player is entering the field. Bink is just hitting stores, and if you have teenagers, they're going to want one... • Hallmark Holiday (MM #5077)
    Feb 14 2025
It's Valentine's Day, the ultimate Hallmark holiday. While love is on the minds of many, it can also be a frustrating day for many. I've long struggled with Valentine's Day. As a dorky kid, I never enjoyed exchanging Valentine's cards, and as I got older, it was sometimes a good day and sometimes a bad one. But as a guy who's been married for a long time, it's gotten more challenging. My wife isn't obsessed with getting the perfect gift, but I try to surprise her with something special. But the longer you're together, the more challenging it is... • Crime Tourism (MM #5076)
    Feb 13 2025
With all that is happening in Washington, DC, the FBI is hard at work trying to solve the recent burglaries of NFL stars Joe Burrow, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes. NBA stars Luka Doncic, Bobby Portis, and Mike Conley have also been victims. The experts feel that all of these robberies are the work of a South American crime ring. Law enforcement has arrested a few people and expects more to come in what they call crime tourism. These criminals come to the U.S. on a tourist visa with the sole intent of robbing the homes of the rich and famous. And it looks like athletes aren't the only target...
