  • Astronomers give asteroid 3.1% chance to hit Earth in 2032

    Seven years from now there's a 3.1% chance a small asteroid could crash into the Earth. On Tuesday, astronomers placed increased the odds of an asteroid striking Earth in December 2032. The asteroid, called 2024 YR4 is estimated to be between 130 and 300 feet wide -- big enough to cause major damage to a city.
