It seemed like the joy of a new grandbaby would be less because my husband was on the other side of the veil and it was not. It seemed like the ability to rejoice in a new grandbaby would be taken from me because of the loss of my husband, and it was not. I learned that the sun does come up after something horrible and the darkness and the storm and the trauma abates. And I learned that through the atonement of Jesus Christ I have the ability and strength to do hard things.
