Emotional discounting is a buzz-phrase in the service industry and that's because it's all too common. The key is getting to the root of why you are doing it. I boil it down to three reasons.

No matter that reason, or combination of, we need to renew our mindset, do identity work, and check our ego at the door.

Jesus’s promises are ultimately for eternity but we are called to hold fast to our faith here on earth until the end. We can persevere and hold true to His word as a Christian woman and it can reflect in our small business and journey through entrepreneurship.

It is important to not compromise with false teachings or get complacent.

God’s light shines through you in your email marketing, social media content, podcast episodes, and customer service, whether you intend it to or not.

But, we SHOULD be intentional! Not in a try-harder-to-prove-yourself-worthy kind of way but in a way that naturally flows from the Holy Spirit. This natural flow comes when you are intentionally following Jesus every day in your life and business.

Building your faith and getting to know who God is, is key to peace in your life through the journey of entrepreneurship. If you want to hear God's voice as you slow down and seek Him first in your business it begins with knowing WHO He is. He says, "my sheep hear my voice." We have to surrender and submit (a bad word these days) to Him being our Shephard in order to hear His voice. We also need to get to know Him. How can we trust Him if we don't actually know Him?

I challenge you to carve 15 minutes out of your day to spend time in prayer and in His word.

I know it's hard, but the email funnels, content creation, meal prep, social media marketing, financial planning, and customer service will wait. There is Grace even in time. Put Him first on your schedule, and all other things will fall into place.

I thought "comparison is a thief of joy" was a bible verse, it isn't! It's actually a famous quote by Teddy Roosevelt, I wonder if it was Holy Spirit inspired?

Nonetheless, it is something to think about, and directs us to some biblical encouragement and thinking.

As an entrepreneur, even as a Christian entrepreneur, the struggle with imposter sydrome is real, and the temptation is everywhere! Thanks to social media, we can see everyone's everthing, and the ability to compare ourselves to others is at our fingertips.

God's calling for you is not the same as any other person's. It will be different, will look different, will fall into place differently, and the outcomes will be different.

Here is your permission to stop the scroll if social media is your poison.

Open your bible, and see what God say's is true about you. Seek Him and His attributes. What's true about God? He is faithful. He is your provider. He is your guide. He has CHOSEN you! He loves you. You are under His wings. It doesn't matter how you compare to anyone else BECAUSE YOU ARE HIS!

Can I get a yes and amen?!

Sometimes when we don't hear God's voice it is easy to feel stuck and overwhelmed. Do we act? Do we wait to have more clarity? What if we make the wrong move? What if we make a mistake? We don't always get to know.

A great way to hear God's voice if you feel stuck is to get off social media, stop texting your friends for advice, and open your bible, get quiet, and pray.

And sometimes waiting IS the action.

There is no perfect blue print, and every circumstance will play out differently. But we cannot stay stuck.

As long as you have a heart to be God's faithful servent, He will work it out, even if you make a mistake. Just don't stay stuck. Trust the process, trust in Him.
