1) Hiring for the wrong role. when we lack clarity about what role we need to hire for, we are bound to have problems with the hire.
2) Hiring the wrong person. Whether it’s a skills mis match or a team fit issue, hiring the wrong person leaves us certain to be back to square one within months.
3) Hiring at the wrong time. If we don’t have the work to keep someone busy, or hire when we can’t onboard or train effectively, we increase the chances the new hire will leave very quickly.
