    • Metallurgy: refers to the science and technology of extracting metals from their ores, refining them, and preparing them for use.
    • Heap leach pad: a large, lined area where piles of crushed ore are placed and irrigated with a chemical solution to extract valuable metals like gold and copper.
    • Flotation plant: a facility where the flotation process is used to separate valuable minerals from ore by mixing crushed rock with water and chemicals, causing the minerals to float to the surface for collection.
    • (Non) Oxides: "oxide" refers to minerals containing oxygen that are often easier to process, while "non-oxide" refers to minerals without oxygen, typically requiring more complex extraction methods.
