She first has to seek acknowledgement of her existence from all powerful ComEd and deal with horrors at the State street DMV. After those trails, the prospect (and difficulty!) of giving up a 50yr old library card from Gail Borden Public Library arises.

They looked and behaved like no generation before or after. They were young. They smelled of Brylcreme, Stridex, Clearasil, and Ben Hur perfume. They drove in endless, pointless circles through downtown Elgin...And little Sharry thought 60's Teenagers were the coolest humans everrrrrr! (And she was right -- Right?)

Ya can't beat fun at the old cemetery!! Well, at least, little Sharry couldn't. Bluff City and Sharry go back a long way, and it continues to lead her to new life journeys, on the next installment of This is My Elgin: Hometown Songs & Stories.
