  • Our Crazy Crashouts: God is NOT Funny
    Nov 26 2024

In Part 2 of our "Crashing Out" series, we’re pulling back the curtain on the raw and vulnerable moments of our crashouts—when our carefully crafted plans came face-to-face with God’s perfect will. In God is Not Funny, we explore what it means to truly surrender to God and trust Him with our lives.

    Scripture References (MSG):

    • Jeremiah 29:11 – “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”
    • Proverbs 19:21 – “We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails.”
    • Ephesians 1:11-12 – “It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living.”
    • James 5:8 – “The Master could arrive at any time.”
    • Hebrews 6:19 – “We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline.”

    Key Discussion Points:

    • The lessons we’ve learned through our most challenging moments.
    • Why surrendering to God isn’t a sign of weakness but of strength.
    • How trusting God’s plan brings freedom and hope, even when it feels impossible.

    Nov 19 2024

In this episode of This is Crazy, we’re diving into what we like to call " the art of crashing out"—those moments when disappointment hits hard because God's timing doesn't align with our own plans. We get real about our personal struggles with impatience, unmet expectations, and the lessons we've learned when we’ve tried to rush ahead of His perfect will.

Using Scripture as our guide—Isaiah 60:22, Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, and Philippians 1:6—we reflect on the importance of trusting God's timing, embracing seasons of waiting, and finding peace in knowing that His plans for us are good, even when they don't make sense in the moment.

Grab a seat and join us as we unpack the art of navigating disappointment with faith, humor, and hope. Let’s grow together as we learn to wait well.
