  • Greg has been with CORUS and AM640 since Fall 2019 when he crossed over from Sportsnet 590, the Fan after 9 1/2 years wanting to do something more challenging and diverse than "just" sports. After success early in his career in Detroit co-hosting the top-rated morning sports talk show in the entire state of Michigan from 2002 to 2007, Greg came to Toronto and CORUS/AM640 to co-host "The Bill Watters Show" when the company had the broadcast rights to the Toronto Maple Leafs. His time at Sportsnet 590, The Fan began in 2010, and also featured a successful run in morning drive in two incarnations, between 2011 and 2019, so morning audiences are already very familiar in Toronto with his knowledge and personality. Greg has broadcast play-by-play from several Super Bowls for radio in the United Kingdom, and handled OHL play-by-play for the Windsor Spitfires and Saginaw Spirit from 2002-2008. His radio recipe is to "play the hits" and "keep things moving", with a mix of news, politics, social commentary, sports, and entertainment. The things people talk about at their dining room table, backyard barbecues, and at kids' sporting events are the things he wants the show to be about. Greg's current joy is navigating two teenage boys through as he describes it, "an era of adjustment" with his wife of 17 years. His hobbies include making music playlists for runs at the gym, tennis, reading music biographies, and watching documentaries when live news and sports isn't consuming him.

Provincial election one day out - I think a LOT has aligned to frustrate voters, and the snow is no exception - is turnout going to be above 50 percent in the province? 2. Education has barely been touched as an issue - it’s been an issue the Ford government has been strong in ignoring, but it’s also an issue that the opposition leaders haven’t hit on too much - maybe the Ontario NDP has the most to lose - they’re embedded in teachers union support, and criticizing test scores and discipline and how our kids have weathered the last 5-6 years…maybe that would seem a bit of a self-own….but I’ve never seen it less in a provincial election. 3. The high-speed rail line proposed by the federal Liberals has left ALL cities west of Toronto wondering why they’re not in the mix - huge populations in Hamilton/Kitchener/London - all struggling to understand why they were cut off from this - maybe it truly is supply and demand and surveys and data show VIA Rail is sufficient - how do you see it? 4. Viral video of a toddler crying at a wedding and an angry bride posting it online. Next, sticking with international hockey, the singing of Canada's national anthem has made headlines Also, Chris Spoke, partner in a real estate development firm called "Toronto Standard", joins us now to discuss how the city's new home sales are the weakest since the 1990 real estate crash. Also, Coyotes are still a massive, ongoing problem, particularly for residents in Liberty Village. Ruby Kooner, is a Liberty Village resident and has had personal experience dealing with coyotes. She joins us now to share her sentiments on an issue that has the potential to be quite devastating.
