Shirley runs a charity and social enterprise that focus on helping ex offenders gain employment with real trade skills that can support them to live healthy lives away from crime. Establishing a national programme for values-led cultural transformation and leadership, aimed at creating the conditions for people to thrive and be their best possible selves at work. rolled out to Trustees, Exec, Directors, 1000+ leaders and 3000+ staff.
She is also currently representing the voluntary sector as member of Employer Advisory Board for HMP Pentonville, as part of national NEW FUTURES NETWORK.

During this episode, Shirley shares her wisdom on being an effective leader and the benefits of respecting and most importantly, listening, to the individuals within your team’s needs. We also delve into the ever-changing work culture in this constantly shifting world, and how Shirley navigates being a great leader amongst all the madness whilst maintaining her own values and mental health.
