    James “Jim” Burling is an attorney and vice president of Legal Affairs at Pacific Legal Foundation where he has been since 1983. Jim is a proponent for property owners and property rights and has litigated cases from Alaska to Florida. He is a member of the Federalist Society’s Environmental Law and Property Rights Practice Group’s Executive Committee.
    He is also the author of “Nowhere to Live: The Hidden Story of America’s Housing Crisis. In 2001, Jim successfully argued a major property rights case, Palazzolo v. Rhode Island before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Currently, he is the Chief Information Officer for “Ones Ready” podcast and is a project focused on scouting and identifying high-probability candidates for the U.S. Air Force Special Warfare career fields. He is also a board member of the Veteran Bushido Brotherhood, grounded on physical fitness, for veterans that still want to feel like they’re part of the tribe.

    Our topic of conversation will be…failures within government agencies, both civilian and military, and how to fix them.
