Count to 10 & Welcome Home!

What if I told you that embracing your inner child—letting yourself be silly, joyful, and even a little foolish—is actually a sign of confidence, not weakness?

My friend, my sibling, when was the last time you let yourself be free? When was the last time you laughed until your stomach hurt? When was the last time you played—just for fun?

Count to 10 and Welcome Home!

Today, I want to have a real and heartfelt conversation with you. I came across this quote from Read Life Accurately by Sonia Choquette, and it really made me pause:

"Consider the intelligence of the 'mind my own business' model. It doesn’t mean you don’t care about others; it just means you don’t carry others."

This one hit me hard. Because for a long time, I didn’t understand the difference. I thought love meant carrying the weight of other people’s emotions, struggles, and experiences—especially when it came to my family.

So today, I want to share with you a personal story about when I had to learn this lesson myself. It was one of the hardest things I had to do, and maybe you can relate.

Count to 10 and Welcome Home!

do I really know and understand what my expectations are?

I know this might sound like a simple question, but think about it. Are the expectations you have truly your own, or are they shaped by what others have told you?

For a long time, I didn’t even question whether my expectations were mine. I just carried them. Like an invisible backpack full of standards, goals, and pressures that I didn’t even remember picking up.

Have you ever felt that way? Like you’re following a script that was handed to you, rather than one you wrote yourself?
