  • calling all menstruators! Recent studies, and one of the only studies investigating the presence of metal across many popular tampon brands, have detected concentrations of toxic metals, including arsenic, lead, and mercury. As this raised alarms in my head, I wanted to know more and relay the information i have learned, as everyone should be educated about the products they use, especially for menstration. Today, august provides the results of research studies surrounding these metals and tells you what to avoid and maybe look into. There is such a taboo surrounding menstruation that has altered the amount of scientific research present on vital processes, and in turn, it can and will impact women's health across the globe.
