I was a doctoral student at Fuller Theological Seminary in the late 70’s and early 80’s. It was at a time when the Church Growth Movement was impacting the church at large and I had a front row seat. I arrived as pastor the first Sunday of May, 1980. The church was around a hundred people in Sunday morning attendance (80 adults/youth and 20 children), but God had given me a vision to see a massive church arise that would affect the whole island of Maui and beyond.
